It happened… I turned 30. I had been dreading this day for my entire 29th year, I felt as if I was saying good-bye to an era, the end of an age. I loved my 20’s! I was apart of an amazing campus ministry, I graduated college, I went on my first mission trip around the world, fell in love with the nation of Guatemala, and was able to have a hand in equipping and mobilizing thousands of people to the mission field. Sure, there have been plenty of bumps, bruises, and even some broken bones; but throughout this decade my desire to serve the Lord has always been constant.

I am not sure when I made the transition from dreading my 30’s to truly being excited about this milestone but I think it was by having a posture of thankfulness. Wow! What a privilege it is to have breath in my lungs, to have been able to experience all those incredible things of years past and for the amazing opportunities that lie in wait. And then I did some research…..

In the Bible, it’s recorded that Jewish priests officially entered the priesthood around 30 years old (Numbers 4:3) It was a sign of both physical and mental maturity, ripe for leadership. Even Jesus, growing in stature and wisdom was obedient to the law of the priesthood and started his ministry around his 30th year of life as well. In which he was baptized and declared the Son of God, spent 40 days in the wilderness, performed his first public miracle at a wedding feast- turning water into wine and invited a team to journey alongside Him for the entirety of His ministry. He recognized the importance that He was not meant to walk His journey alone and surrounded himself with a core community to accomplish what his Father sent Him to do.

With that being said, I need your partnership. Like Jesus, I am building my team and calling people to invest in me by coming alongside me both prayerfully and financially. In order to satisfy my monthly goal, and launch date of September 30th, I need to raise $900 more of monthly support. In an attempt to be poetic, that easily translates into 30 people committed to giving $30 a month.

It truly takes a village and there have been so many hands that have helped get me here today, and I humbly ask that you would join in taking me further. Will you join my team as we walk this road of ministry together?

I may have said good-bye, but I’m also saying hello to the endless opportunities and ministry ahead. My 20’s were the path of preparation that lead me to now. I am about to embark on this new and amazing journey in Guatemala and I’m waiting with eager anticipation to see how God orchestrates this next 10 years!
